Sep 24, AM. Seems like a good book. Haven't read her before so I already downloaded it. Sep 24, PM. Thanks for the heads up! I downloaded it, too. I'll try to keep this thread going every Friday. Happy Reading! Thanks, Lori! I downloaded this one as well. Looks like it could be promising. Oct 01, AM. I downloaded it too. Oct 05, AM. Thanks for posting. I always forget to check the Free Friday books.
Did anyone read Enchanting the Lady and if so, how was it? Not yet. I don't want to start too many books at a time on the nook and I started Face of Betrayal by Lis Wiehl I'm not very far into it yet. Haven't given that much time to reading the nook the last day or so. Besides that if I do read anything else on the nook it's just trying to get the samples I got down some and those essay types that you get when in the store.
Which I think I might only have one more of those. Maybe I'll get to the store next week to see if anything is good on the instore stuff. Oct 06, PM. You can read some books for free in the store, but only for an hour. Since you can only read for an hour at a time, you have to go to the store daily, but I have not problem with that!!
Oct 07, AM. Also they have some books but they are short essay type. Maybe up to only a few pages long. And it might be a review of a certain author's books or how they got started writing. That type of thing. The first time I downloaded a few of them thinking it was more than that but the last time I only did one.
The only book I read some in the store was the nook one and even though I've since bought the book it's still on my in store read. I wonder if there is a way to get it off that without deleting the bought copy of the book. Oct 08, AM. The last book in the Earth Children series is coming out next spring. Oct 08, PM. Also just posted for free: Hunt at the Well of Eternity. Looks like the start of an adventure series. I already had The 7th Victim as a free book from the beginning of the month.
I was wondering why it wasn't going over as a something new and then saw it on another page. Oct 15, AM. Just a heads up, this week's free book is Sandman Slim. That's awesome because it's a fairly popular book, but unfortunately for me I already bought the paper version. Below is the link. Oct 15, PM. Thanks, Lori. That's 3 free books today. Sandman Slim?
I've been wanting to read that. The paranormal romances Oct 18, PM. Chinatown Beat by Henry Chang is now free. Oct 22, AM. October 22, J. Forgotten Realms: Homeland Legend of Drizzt 1 Born into the Drow Dark Elf world of Menzoberranzan, Drizzt — driven by his own moral code -- turns his back on the evil ways of his clan and strikes out to conquer the metaphorical demons of his past and the real demons that threaten his future.
Thanks for the heads up, I've been wanting to read something by RA Salvatore. These past few free Friday books have been really good. Oct 23, AM.
I used to love Drizzt's books! I haven't read them in about 15 years so I wonder if my taste has changed? Oct 24, AM. I've downloaded all of them. Lord only knows when I'll get around to reading them! I currently have 93 books, sample books, and 39 books archived.
Do any of you do what I do when I come across a book I think I might like to read? I download a sample to try it. At samples, I'll have to spend a weekend just reading and eliminating them, :D! Hi Sandra, I have had my Nook for about 6 mths, and i have never downloaded the samples, if it sounds like something i want to read, and after reading the overview and the reviews of other people, i will put it on my wishlist, which does give me a list of books to choose from there.
